   Food chain certification

Flightcare Belgium has been recognised by the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV) as the official inspection post for phyto-sanitary controls. It is the first handling company at Brussels airport to comply with the new Belgian regulations in this domain.

In recent years, the volumes of perishable cargo handled by the company have grown strongly, thanks to a renewed infrastructure, a fund of knowledge and efficient handling procedures.

In order to increase its reputation in this area, Flightcare has applied to be officially recognised as an inspection post for plants and vegetable products. Recent investments in infrastructure and material handling, coupled with a deep co-operation with the Belgian Customs, convinced the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain to grant the certificate.

This will increase the range of services that Flightcare Belgium can offer its clients and will permit further specialisation in perishable flows.
